I hold you tenderly as you fall asleep upon my chest.
I run my fingers through your gently.
I watch you in your deep slumber.
As the moonlight glows upon your face.
Night time is at a race with the moments left to spend together.
I will have to leave you, but not forever.
I leave for the sake of survival.
So as I kiss you sweetly.
I 'll return again under the soft glow of tomorrow's moonlight.
Creeping the shadows to be with you.
Then we'll dance under the pale moonlight.
